Appointments

Prior to the first visit the patient will receive an extensive intake form to be filled out by the time of the visit. Approximately the first hour of this visit is spent getting an extensive medical history from the patient, including the history of the present illness or complaint. The final 30 minutes are spent devoted to treatment of some sort. This may include acupuncture, physical therapy, massage or other types of therapy. Finally, the patient leaves the office with a comprehensive treatment plan and recommendations for follow-up.

The follow-up naturopathic visit involves a detailed review of the effectiveness of the treatment plan. Any obstacles to adherence are discussed, and modifications are made according to changes in symptoms that may have taken place since the initial visit. Depending on time, this visit may once again include one or more treatments as described in the initial visit above.

For those individuals seeing one of the naturopath/acupuncturists in the clinic, the follow-up visit typically includes 15-30 minutes of review of the initial treatment plan, followed by 20-30 minutes of acupuncture or other type of Chinese medicine (moxabustion, cupping, etc.). Again, the patient leaves with recommendations for follow-up.

For individuals without naturopathic or acupuncture insurance coverage, we ask that full payment be made at the time of service.

Bloom Natural Health Care also accepts walk-in appointments as time and space allow.

Cancellations require at least 24 hours notice or a late fee of the missed office visit will be billed.
